Kyllä Jeeves hoitaa - Kausi 2

Tuli sitten katsottua toinen kausi melkein heti ensimmäisen perään. Yhtä tasaisen hyvää laatua, kuin ensimmäinenkin kausi, mutta mukaan mahtuu (mielestäni) myös yksi huonompi jakso. Nimittäin kauden avaava "Hopeakannu", jossa on käänteitä ja kerroksia niin paljon, että menee kikkailun puolelle.

Jaksossa häiritsi myös se, että Jeeves auttaa varkauden piilottelussa silmää räpäyttämättä. Jotenkin en vain jaksa uskoa, että kaikin puolin korrekti Jeeves sortuisi moiseen. Kyseisen jakson riemastuttavin tapaus on tietysti Spode, joka haluaa ilmeisesti diktaattoriksi ja esikuva vaikuttaisi olevan Il Duce, eli Mussolini.

Onneksi yksi pieni notkahdus ei haittaa, tykkäsin, edelleen. Tässä kaudessa on muuten se jakso, jossa Jeeves irtisanoo itsensä Woosterin vetopasuunan harjoittelun vuoksi.

Bertie dictates a telegram to a post office employee

Bertie: To Aunt Dahlia. Erm ... I say — look here, this is absolutely impossible. Er ... not to say, out of the question. Spode has already threatened yours truly. Uh ... sorry, and all that ... oh — about the cow creamer, I mean. Anyway, there it is. Toodle-pip, your affectionate nephew, Bertie.

Post office employee: Is it a code?

Bertie: One has tried, one has failed! One can do no more.

Dahlia: Don't you try that "dying duck in a thunderstorm" stuff on me, young Bertie. You will get that cow creamer.

Bertie: No — no, you don't understand, Aunt Dahlia. I have tried! I've been threatened with a shotgun and Roderick Spode says that if I try again, he will beat me into a jelly.

Dahlia: Yes? Go on.

Bertie: What do you mean "yes go on"!? You wouldn't want your favorite nephew to be beaten into a jelly, now would you?

Dahlia: Might be an improvement.
